Feedback & Complaints

IHA welcomes feedback and takes complaints seriously as part of our commitment to safe, quality clinical care.

Who Can Make a Complaint

Participants, families, support coordinators, allied health professionals, NDIS providers, or any other person involved in a participant's care can make a complaint about IHA's services.

How to Make a Complaint

Complaints can be made by phone, email, or in writing:

  • In writing, addressed to IHA's clinical management

A support person, family member, advocate, or interpreter can assist with making a complaint at any time.

What Happens After a Complaint Is Made

  • The complaint is acknowledged
  • The complaint is reviewed by IHA's clinical management
  • Where appropriate, the person who raised the complaint is contacted to discuss it further
  • The complaint is addressed, and an outcome is provided
  • Records are kept in accordance with IHA's policies and NDIS requirements

External Bodies

You do not need to raise a concern with IHA first. You can contact an external body directly at any time.

Other relevant bodies may include WorkSafe Victoria or the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), depending on the nature of the service and how it is funded.
